From which date will it be in effect?
Starting July 29, 2008, 0000hrs, non-nationals wishing to enter the UAE have to follow the new rules.
What is changing?
- an increase in prices for the issuing of the visa
- a valid accident and health insurance upon entering the UAE becomes compulsory
Can I obtain a free visit visa upon arrival?
Yes, citizens of Germany, Brunei, Belgium, Australia, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, New Zealand, United States of America, Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, France, Finland, Malta, Vatican, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Ireland, Greece, Spain, Monaco, Iceland and of course the five other members of the GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
